The International Cooperation Agency (ACI) works with the Chairman, the Institutional Vice-Chairman and the UNLP Department of Institutional Relations.

The ACI General Executive Management is in charge of the Department of Institutional Relations.

Likewise, the Agency is divided into three large areas:

Area of Academic International Cooperation (URIU), which main work areas are:
-students’ exchange.
-teacher-researchers exchange.
-international scientific contribution.
-postgraduate courses.

South-South Cooperation Area (Department of Institutional Relations). Its main lines of work are the following:
-horizontal cooperation among countries in similar stages of development.
-international extension activities.

Training in International Relations and Cooperation Area (IRI). Its main lines of work are the following:
-human resources training in international relations, international cooperation and project drafting.
-languages.
