The National University of La Plata is one of the most prestigious centers of the national research and teaching system, as such being a point of reference in the contribution to Argentina's university cultural heritage.
In a wide range of fields, this university has contributed to the democratization and spreading of knowledge to numerous generations of citizens in Argentina and Latin America. In its classrooms, this Higher Education Institution has seen many representatives of different countries, who have contributed to make knowledge the greatest tool for unifying and designing shared destinies.

Working on strategies to strengthen this integration as well as to coordinate institutions and resources entails guaranteeing a shared and continued international cooperation.

This Unit poses the challenge of being the authority in charge of coordinating  university international relations, accompanying interuniversity projects and agreements with the logistic and operational support in the various instances where academic units are related with each other.

The URIU is an open space where students, teachers, researchers and other third parties interested in the international area may request cultural, administrative, academic and general information about the University or foreign institutions.
