The International Cooperation Agency (ACI) of the National University of La Plata announces the presentation of the second edition of the International Cooperation Directory, organized by the Argentine Network for International Cooperation (RACI). The presentation will take place next Thursday, April 26, at 9 a.m., at Auditorio de Malba – Fundación Constantini, located in Av. Figueroa Alcorta 3415, City of Buenos Aires. Free admission.
Supported by the Embassy of Canada in Argentina, the Argentine Network for International Cooperation (RACI) will present the second edition of the “International Cooperation Directory – A Guide with Resources for Civil Society Organizations.” This guide is addressed to representatives of social as well as government entities, international cooperation agents, academicians and related professionals.
A panel of experts composed of representatives of civil society organizations and international donors will present their different perspectives regarding the importance of the Directory as a useful tool for each of the stakeholders involved. In addition, the new contents on International Cooperation and the +1000 resources available in the new publication will be displayed.
The new edition contains new chapters on how the world financial crisis has impacted the process of International Cooperation, the current situation of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) in Argentina and the world, as well as chapters on private social investments and the role of businesses in the co-financing scheme for development. Moreover, this second edition includes updated information about the new trends in International Cooperation, such as the flow of the Official Development Assistance (ODA), and the topics that international donors have supported the most in recent years in the different regions, specifically in Latin America and Argentina.
The International Cooperation Directory is a source of information that helps civil society organizations optimize their work and search for funds, thus democratizing the access to information in Argentina.
